Job Summary:  The Monitoring & Evaluation Coordinator will take lead in
effective regional performance management of program implementation; lead
efforts in technology applications (Survey CTO, smartphone & Televrite),
review and development of Data collection tools; and lead in coordination of
M&E Capacity building. While reporting to the M&E Manager, the M&E
Coordinator will be offered a unique opportunity to grow in using sophisticated
M&E technologies to improve program systems while simultaneously gaining
insights in scalable and innovative monitoring, evaluation and technology
techniques. We’re looking for a proactive, meticulously organized and efficient
professional with great coordination and creative problem- solving skills to
ensure that all the wheels in their scope of work are turning at maximum
efficiency.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
Monitoring and Evaluation Technology
  • The SMS, smartphone systems and
    dashboards are up and running in a timely manner.
  • Survey CTO forms are reviewed, updated
    and tested before use by field staff as and when need arises in a timely
    manner.
  • The logistical data (School list, Mentor
    list) is updated onto the survey CTO system in a timely manner.
  • The Data in the monitoring reports,
    regional report and the dashboards are in sync
  • Reporting Master copies (Monitoring
    reports, Regional, school List, Quality check and Weekly SMS) are
    reviewed, updated and shared in a timely manner.
  • M&E working trackers (Feedback
    racker for data, field visits, regional monthly meetings, trainings, tools
    feedback, evaluation, Admin/M&E, communications, implementation follow
    up) and templates (Weekly QC, termly QC, data entry) are developed,
    reviewed, updated and shared in a timely manner.
  • All field data collection tools for
    mentors, Youth Leaders (YLs), Program Officers (POs), researches and
    evaluations are reviewed, developed and tested in a timely Manner.
Monitoring Implementation
  • Weekly tracking of regional data for
    mentors, YLs and POs, and validate to ensure completeness, authenticity,
    accuracy and free of error.
  • Conduct weekly data cleaning, analysis
    for mentors, YL and PO
  • Compile and share the completed clean
    data with the M&E Manager for timely aggregation, dissemination and
    reporting
  • Follow up with the PO to get feedback on
    the data shared in a timely manner
  • Ensure feedback is implemented and
    updated on the feedback tracker timely
  • Compile regional qualitative data for the
    different activities in a timely manner
  • Conducted regular field visits to ensure
    the quality of data collected and verify the accuracy of reported data;
    update the field visit Tracker, conduct data quality checks according to
    the schedule
Data coordination and Reporting
  • Plan and conduct national data downloads
    and share with the M&E Team for cleaning and analysis, downloaded
    adhoc data as and when need arises in a timely manner
  • Compile and regularly maintain an
    updated organization data scorecard.
  • Compile, prepare and share reviews for
    the mid and end of term Monitoring report in a timely manner.
  • Prepare and share the weekly M&E
    Communication (PO and YL) with the field staff in a timely manner.
  • Propose strategies to increase data use
    and demand amongst Program staff
  • Review, analyze and share regional
    reports (Mentors, YL, and PO) with the M&E Manager to identify
    potential bottlenecks in activity implementation and to enhance quality of
    reporting.
  • Prepare and disseminate monitoring
    report during Internal Advisory Board (IAB)
  • Ensure data discussions with programs
    are implemented and updated on the tracker in a timely manner, support
    staff to use monitoring checklist, download the data and share with the
    innovations department.
M&E Capacity Building
  • Carry out M&E training needs
    assessment regularly for field staff to determine the most relevant and
    cost effective training needs
  • Design, develop and discuss the training
    structure, materials, documents and manuals to ensure consistency and
    quality of content and training
  • Liaise with departments to ensure all
    new field staffs are adequately trained to ease implementation of M&E
    related activities and reporting.
  • Design and develop a planned and ongoing
    training schedule including orientations for staff
  • Regularly evaluate, review and update
    the training materials for training.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
  • The applicant must hold a Bachelor’s
    degree in Statistics or Quantitative Economics, with strong Applied
    Knowledge of Survey CTO, Televrite & dashboard maintenance and
    Statistical Packages (Excel, SPSS, STATA)
  • At least 2 years of professional
    experience in data management and reporting
  • At least 2 years of professional
    experience in monitoring, evaluation and reporting of programs
