Community Health
Alliance Uganda (CHAU), formerly the International HIV/AIDS Alliance Uganda, is
a national Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) which was registered in 2010. It
works in partnership with other Community based Organizations (CBOs)/ local
NGOs to support community action on integrated Sexual reproductive health and
HIV/AIDS in Uganda. CHAU is an affiliate and accredited to International
HIV/AIDS Alliance as its Linking Organization. This partnership facilitates
CHAU to engage and collaborate with IHAA’s global network which includes over
40 independent organizations spread across the world. CHAU through its global
strategic partnerships, is able learn from and adapt international best
practices and experiences to the local context in the areas of organizational
development, capacity building, community systems strengthening, Advocacy and
quality service delivery.
About SRHU Project:
Sexual Reproductive
Health Umbrella (SRHU) is a five (5) year SRHR and HIV integration grant funded
by the Swedish embassy in Uganda. The programme uses umbrella mechanism to
contribute to improved SRHR and HIV outcomes for Vulnerable and Key
populations.
Job Summary:  The Monitoring, Learning and Evaluation/MIS
Officer will implement, coordinate, support and strengthen CHAU monitoring and
reporting system, document, share and disseminate reports and strategic
information to stakeholders in line with CHAU program strategies and M&E
plan, Support the IT and web site management function
Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Strengthen the capacity of staffs in participatory Monitoring and
    Evaluation (PM&E) in line with MEAL requirements and CHAU’s Strategic
    Plan 2016-2020
  • CHAU program and data management
  • Support the IT function to provide IT solution within the IT
    component of CHAU.
  • Resource mobilization
  • Development and implementation of researches and surveys

Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
  • The applicant must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Statistics,
    information technology and post graduate training in Monitoring and
    Evaluation
  • Master’s Degree in Public Health, Statistics, Biostatistics, Project
    Planning and Management
  • Two to three years of relevant experience from a reputable
    organization in a similar role
  • Experience monitoring and evaluation and reporting on development
    programs
