The Danish Refugee
Council (DRC) is a private, independent, humanitarian organization working on
all aspects of the refugee cause in more than 36 countries throughout the
world. The aim of DRC is to protect refugees and internally displaced persons
(IDPs) against persecution and to promote durable solutions to the problems of
forced migration, on the basis of humanitarian principles and human rights. DRC
works in accordance with the UN Conventions on Refugees and the Code of Conduct
for the ICRC and NGOs in Disaster Relief.
Job Summary:  The Team Leader-Support Services will provide
leadership to the Supply Chain Management, Fleet Management, and Administrative
Services functions in Rhino Camp and ensure timely, professional and
cost-effective services to the DRC Program.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Provide line management and leadership support to staff of Supply
    Chain, Fleet Management and Administrative Services.
  • Lead the development, timely and professional implementation of
    systems for each department/unit under Support Services to ensure they are
    effective, efficient, and compliance with DRC policies
  • Manage Supply Chain function to ensure timely and transparency of
    procurement and the compliance with DRC policies.
  • Develop and ensure effective controls over vehicles use and
    maintenance. Ensure Vehicle Logbook are implemented and properly review
    every month.
  • Ensure proper administration of Rhino Camp and project offices.
    These includes but not limited to: Asset management, Utilities Management
    and Accommodation.
  • Ensure proper internet connectivity and ensure all staff adhere to
    DRC ICT policies and procedure
  • In liaison with Safety Focal Person, ensure the implementation of
    the Safety Protocol and assist to integrate sound safety practices so as
    to enhance the safety and security of staff, assets and programs and
    minimize operational risks.
  • Develop open communication, cooperation between Supply Chain, Fleet
    Management, Security and Administrative Services
  • Participation in Team Meetings and other team based functions

Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
  • The ideal candidate for the Danish Refugee Council Team
    Leader-Support Services job placement should hold a Bachelor’s degree in
    Business Administration, Supply Chain/Logistic Management, Project
    Management, Finance or related field.         
  • Three to five years’ experience in related field with middle or
    Senior Management roles, Experience with International Non-profit
    organization is preferred
  • Proven ability to cultivate and maintain strong interpersonal and
    working relationships
  • Competent in the use and application of Microsoft Office computer
    programs, including Word, Excel and Power Point
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Languages:
    English: Professional level proficiency
