this product range will further be developed by including additional
agricultural products.
Job Summary:  The Agricultural Engineer aims at bringing
desirable quality products to the market to meet customer satisfaction and
support our operations.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Product Technical Definition: Ensure products have technical definitions
    based on industry standards and client requirements.
  • Products Sourcing: You support sourcing in screening of products and
    their relevant suppliers
  • Products Testing and Specification: Create specifications, test
    methods for every product and their subsequent testing and reports.
  • Products Launch: Use product launch tracker to ensure controlled and
    successful launch of new and improved products,
  • Products Review: Review products customer satisfaction surveys ie
    product performance ie insights into low customer satisfaction, what can
    be done about this and how -including review of solutions related to
    operational impacts and cost benefit
  • Products Intervention Roll Out and Interventions Tracking: You roll
    out the Intervention projects given in different proposals, working within
    the budget, across teams to ensure successful implementation.
  • You track interventions relevant to your specified products
    portfolio in the insights engine. You ensure market awareness and insights
    relevant to your product portfolio, bringing market baselining into your
    interventions and introductions.
  • Interdesk Communication: Work closely with other desks to ensure a
    smooth client journey. In addition, ensure regular communications out to
    Desks to promote the work being done within your team and understanding on
    how your team works.
  • Reporting: You prepare your weekly report on time to enable accurate
    tracking of your work and the team
  • Quality Assurance: You review work done by Officers to ensure it
    meets requirements
  • Performance Monitoring: You track and review the performance of
    Officers to ensure optimal team performance.
  • Team Mentoring and Coaching: You support the development of the team
    through sharing skills and abilities

Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
  • The ideal candidate must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural
    Engineering, Agricultural Mechanization or any related field.
  • One year of work experience with agricultural equipment or irrigation
    products is an advantage.
  • Knowledge on water pumps or irrigation solutions is an advantage.
  • Highly motivated and passionate about work.
  • Eye for detail.
  • Technical knowledge of agricultural equipment..
  • Able to work with minimum supervision.
  • Good communication & reporting skills.
  • Team player / People Management skills.
  • Computer literacy: Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
