fax/data, internet and mobile services.
Job Summary:  The Planning & Reporting Analyst will prepare
the Business Plan and forecasts as well as monitor company performance and
business environment; interpret data concerning customers, channels,
competition and the macro-environment into relevant, accurate and usable
strategic knowledge.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Prepares the Business Plan, forecasts and revenue modeling to assist
    is setting the Business targets
  • Monitors and assesses the global performance of the company through
    the various business indicators:
    • In order to determine the threshold of performance warning
    • In order to grasp each internal and external explanatory factor of
      performance
    • In order to estimate the penetration of new product/VAS
    • In order to estimate the impact of market changes on the company
      revenues
  • Collects, analyzes and monitors data concerning customers, channels,
    competition and the macro-environment translating it into relevant,
    accurate and usable strategic knowledge:
  • Establishes customers’ profiles, segments and usage in order to
    predict customer behavior
  • Identifies and monitors external and internal factors that may
    affect business performance
  • Performs Product Evaluation: Involves development of business cases
    for new initiatives and products/services; effective and efficient product
    performance monitoring and reporting
  • Prepares Pricing for products and services ensuring economic
    feasibility and profitability
  • Prepares financial analysis and modeling for promotions and price
    reductions to aid decision making

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
  • The ideal candidate for the MTN Uganda Planning & Reporting
    Analyst job placement should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Statistics or
    Quantitative Economics
  • Five years’ experience in Business analysis including financial
    modeling and product evaluation
  • Proficient with MS Office application especially Excel and Power
    Point
  • Experience in using statistical applications such as SAS, SPSS,
    EPINFO will be an added advantage
  • Prior experience in Business Intelligence for telecommunications is
    desirable
