Job Summary:   The Project Coordinator Civic & Political
Space will be responsible for Successful execution of the project including
planning, implementation, monitoring and reporting. The coordinator will be
responsible for building partnership for collaborative response to shrinking
civic and political space in Uganda with the wider Civic Society HRDs, Government
and activists.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Coordinate the implementation of the shrinking political space
    project.
  • Build networks in local, national and international fora to support
    the project.
  • Coordinate the implementation and monitoring of the project policy,
    advocacy and campaign’s agenda in line with ALPS, M&E frameworks and
    guidelines.
  • Lead the documentation and quality assurance of the project
    activities in line with the project strategy and other guidelines.
  • Identify staff and partners knowledge needs on shrinking political
    space in line with the AAU Knowledge Management (KM) Strategy
  • Lead in building capacity of Civil Society to withstand, respond and
    pushback Civil and Political Space.
  • Support resource mobilization for shrinking for civic and political
    space in line with Organizational policies, donor guidelines, and
    Procedures
