peaceful, just and inclusive politics worldwide. Founded in 2000 by seven Dutch
political parties across the political spectrum , NIMD currently works with
more than 200 political parties in over 20 countries in Africa, middle East,
Latin America, Asia and Eastern Europe.
Job Summary:  The Program Officer (Interparty Dialogue) will
be responsible for leading and coordinating the day to day planning, budgeting,
implementation and reporting on activities in support of the interparty
dialogue platform. The role will also require preparing and disseminating IPOD
council minutes, collection of monitoring and evaluation data, preparation of
narrative reports and timely communication of project successes and
achievements. The post holder will play a key role in stakeholder management
and will work closely with responsible officials of the political parties in
IPOD.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
  • The applicant for the Program Officer (Interparty Dialogue) job must
    hold a Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant discipline e.g. Political Science
    international Development, Project Management or Project Administration.
  • Three years of experience of democracy and governance related
    programs.
  • Thorough understanding of program management, project
    implementation, planning and budgeting and excellent report writing
    skills.
  • Good working knowledge of Uganda‘s political system and democratic
    processes.
  • Excellent command of the English language, written and oral
    communication skills.
  • Knowledge of dialogue processes is an added advantage.
