Job Summary:  The Manager within Farmer Financing Unit (FFU)
will be responsible for supporting strategic design, implementation and review
of advances scheme of the FFU. S/he shall collaborate with all the team
members.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
·        
Participate
and actively contribute to the review and design of FFU advances products
·        
Support
farmer acquisition for the advances scheme
·        
Manage
client portfolio performance by ensuring implementation of robust risk
mitigation strategies
·        
Oversee
and support data management related to FFU operations under his/her supervision
·        
Ensure
timely and effective resolution of all client queries related to the delivery
of the advances scheme
·        
Oversee,
manage, mentor and train a team of field staff working under his/her
supervision
·        
Ensure
effective and efficient financial accountability for all spending on operation
under his or her supervision
·        
Oversee
and provide timely reporting to all key stakeholders on matters related to FFU
operations under his/her supervision
Key Results: Be
able to develop robust strategies for efficient and effective delivery of FFU
advances products to clients as well as support operations related to the FFU
advances cycle.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
·        
The applicant
for the Manager within Farmer Financing Unit (FFU) must hold a Bachelor’s
degree in Business Administration, Agronomy, Agricultural Science, rural
development, Business Finance, Economics and/or any other related field.
·        
At least
five years of professional experience, preferably in the coffee value chain
and/or in the banking/finance sector and/or in connection with smallholder
farmers.
·        
Team
management skills
·        
Accounting
and mathematical skills
·        
Risk
analysis and loan management skills
·        
Reporting
skills
.
·        
Demonstrated
capacity to document processes and outcomes
·        
Ability
to work under pressure and beyond working hours where necessary
·        
Willingness
to work or live outside Kampala
·        
Ability
to organize documents and manage filing
·        
Enjoy
mentoring and developing others
·        
Ability
to work under minimum supervision
·        
Ability
to be a good team player
·        
Good
communication skills
·        
Good use
of MS word, Excel and computer literate.

Excellent
oral, written, and interpersonal skills.
·        
Fluent
in English and Luganda

to use various technologies
