Job Summary:  The Finance Manager will be in charge of
implementing the ARUWE Finance and related policies. The Finance Manager will
report to the Executive Director ARUWE, will work closely with other members of
Management to implement ARUWE core Mandate. Overall professional responsibility
for all aspects of financial management and control. The incumbent is tasked
with effective financial reporting for ARUWE and for our partners in a timely
accurate relevant and information manner. The incumbent will be managing the UP
country offices finance officers and overseeing branch finances and
Administration to ensure best practice compliance and accountability 
Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Participate in strategic planning including budgeting forth
    Organisation.
  • Manage the Assets of the organisation in relation organisational set
    policies and procedures.
  • Strengthen Organisational Financial systems and ensure compliance to
    donor requirements.
  • Support all ARUWE daily Administration.
  • Prepare monthly management accounts for the senior management Team
  • Prepare quarterly management accounts for the Board, annual budgets
  • Prepare annual accounts/financial statements ready to audit.
  • Prepare periodical financial reports to Partners
  • Manage and oversee the work of the upcountry office finance
    Officers.
  • Act as secretary for the finance sub committee
  • Represent ARUWE in a positive and professional way, which promotes
    the vision mission and strategic priorities of the Association.
  • Ensure confidentiality and profession integrity is upheld at all
    times duties as requested by ARUWE

Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
  • The applicant must hold a Bachelor’s Degree (BCDM / BAA /Finance/
    Accounting)
  • Postgraduate Training (CPA)
  • Three years of experience in a similar role managing finance
    (Accounting, Budgeting control and reporting), preferably with experience
    of working in an NGO environment.
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • A high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and IT skills high levels of competency in
    MS word, Ms Excel and accounting software is essential
  • Ability to multi-task
  • High levels of professionalism, innovation, energy, creativity and
    flexibility
