Sasakawa Africa
Association (SAA/SG2000) is an international non-profit organization that
promotes demonstration and widespread adoption of improved pre and
post-production agricultural technologies for smallholder farmers in Uganda in
collaboration with relevant government institutions, farmers’ organizations and
the private sector.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Actively participate in designing of
    tools and methodologies; needs assessments, monitoring surveys, impact
    assessment and annual internal evaluations; and to facilitate and manage
    external evaluations and other consultancies while assuring quality;
  • Participate in designing and preparation
    of timing packages (leaflets, handouts, etc.) tor use by project staff
    working in the Project sites
  • Work closely with MELS Thematic
    Coordinator to interpret data and develop periodic reports (back to
    office. monthly, quarterly. and annual)
  • Participate in the provision of feedback
    related to collected information and data from surveys and studies to
    stakeholders and SAN SG 2000 staff and partners
  • Participate in the development and
    sharing of publications including policy briefs, achievements, success
    stories, lessons and practices through appropriate communication channels
Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
  • The ideal candidate should hold a
    Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Agricultural Economics, Statistics,
    development studies
  • Five years of relevant experience,
    MSc/MA is desirable.
  • Must possess strong data entry and
    analytical skills as well as writing, facilitation and presentational
    skills
  • Experience with M&E Frameworks such
    as Longtime, Critical Pathways, Monitoring matrix is an added advantage.
