The National Social
Security Fund (NSSF) is a Provident Fund mandated to provide social security to
its members as prescribed by law under CAP 222 (Laws of Uganda) through
efficient management of members’ contributions. The NSSF asset base is
currently over Ugx. 9.8  trillion, making
the Fund one of the largest players in Uganda’s economy.
Job Summary:  The Business Support Officer is responsible
for ensuring timely and accurate registration of members as well as keeping the
office environment clean and neat at all times in order to achieve the desired
ambiance for customers and staff. The ideal candidate will be a hard-working
professional able to diligently undertake a variety of office support tasks.
Should have a high degree of attention to detail and discretion as well as
incorporating new and effective ways to achieve better results in a customer
friendly environment.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Carry out branch based member registration
  • Conduct Branch Employer registration
  • Sensitize Members & Employers upon registration
  • Provide e-collections process support to employers at the Branch
  • Print and issue member registration cards at the Branch
  • Support archiving and routing of member registration records to
    Records Centre
  • Undertake office cleaning to achieve a fresh ambiance at all times
  • Keep Desks and office clear of any clutter such as papers and
    utensils
  • Restrooms management and maintenance at all times
  • Coordinate deliveries, office refreshments and catering services for
    staff
  • Ensure office equipment (tables, chairs, wood surfaces and shelves)
    are properly cleaned and maintained
  • Ensure availability of drinking water for customers and staff

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
  • The ideal candidate for the NSSF Business Support Officer job
    opportunity must hold a Bachelor’s degree from a reputable university
  • One year of related working experience.
  • Customer service centered
  • Working knowledge of office equipment
  • Understanding of office management procedures
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Analytical abilities and aptitude in problem-solving
  • Team player
  • Written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly flexible
  • Should have a very positive attitude
  • Computer literacy skills i.e. Knowledge of MS Office
