Beadforlife is a US-founded non-profit which creates
sustainable opportunities for women to lift their families out of extreme
poverty by connecting people worldwide in a circle of exchange that enriches
everyone. We work with impoverished women to make money through the production
of paper beads and other products and to use their income and additional
training to start businesses for life-long sustainability.
Job Summary:  The Operations Assistant will work together
with the operations team to plan, and execute necessary logistical functions
that support ongoing programs implementation. BeadforLife creates sustainable
opportunities for women to lift their families out of extreme poverty through
the Street Business School Entrepreneurial trainings with a goal of reaching 1
million women by 2027.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Ensure effective and transparent implementation of the procurement
    policy
  • Procurement and management of supplies and services
  • Manage international shipping process
  • Coordinate Asset management and Disposal Process
  • Operations budgeting and monitoring
  • Track fuel use and perform reconciliation
  • Key management
  • Point person for IT contractor and support
  • Management of Operations store

Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
  • The Operations Assistant must hold a Degree in a relevant field from
    a recognised University
  • Three years of progressive professional experience in procurement,
    administration, operational coordination preferably in an NGO
  • Excellent organization, administrative, and record keeping skills
  • Honest and trustworthy
  • Solid computer skills
  • Flexible and a good problem solver
  • Detail Oriented
  • High level of energy and ability to move around frequently to source
    supplies/services
  • Reliable and timely, good at meeting deadlines
  • Negotiation skills
