Construction Company Limited (NHCC) was founded in 1964 and is a Ugandan
construction and real estate management company, partly owned by the Uganda
Government. The Company’s mandate is to increase the housing stock in the
country, rehabilitate the housing industry and encourage Ugandans to own homes
in an organized environment.
Job Summary:  The Assistant Cashier will ensure that all
cash and cheque transactions are correctly received and documented on a round
basis as the starting point for sound assets and fund management
Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Report to the immediate supervisor on all matters regarding
    receiving, receipting and accountability.
  • Receives cash and cheque payments from customers and issues
    appropriate receipt.
  • Tallies cash received with receipts issued on a daily basis.
  • Relies on approved documents to effect cash payments and to record
    the transactions.
  • Ensure that no fraudulent activity takes place in the job area.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
  • The ideal candidate for the Assistant Cashier job opportunity must
    hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance option or equivalent
    obtained from a recognized university/ institution
  • Computer literacy in MS packages, especially MS – Excel, MS word,
  • A minimum of two years of relevant working experience as Assistant
    Cashier, or in a similar position, in a large and reputable organization,
    preferably a vibrant commercial organization in a large and reputable
    organization.
  • Good negotiation, communication and reporting skills.
  • Results-oriented and pays attention to detail.
  • Interpersonal and human relations skills, as well as a team-player.
  • Analytical and accuracy skills.
  • Good computer literacy skills.
  • High levels of honesty, ethics and integrity.
  • A respectful, articulate and reliable personality.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines
  • Age Limit: Below
    50 years
