Job Summary:   The
Executive Assistant will enhance the Executive’s effectiveness by providing
administrative and information management support.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Responsible for facilitating communication with Government
    officials, Partners and other key Stakeholders
  • Responsible for managing the Executive’s schedule, appointment
    schedule, travel arrangements, meetings, conferences and keeping the
    Executive well informed about the upcoming commitments.
  • Tasked with preparing final written business correspondence such as
    letters, memoranda, meeting minutes and other presentation material such
    as PPTs, tables and charts using computer graphics and spreadsheets.
  • In charge of coordinating and representing the Executive in meetings
    and events.
  • The Executive Assistant also answers and screens telephone calls for
    the Executive, relays the messages, sorts and transmits Executive’s mail
    and correspondences and responds promptly to queries.
  • Greeting and welcoming visitors on behalf of the Executive.
  • Acts a point of contact for the Employees and should interact with
    all employees and management.
  • The Executive Assistant also maintains stationery, office supply
    inventory and petty cash for the Executive.
  • Continuously reads and researches inquiries on behalf of the
  • Ensuring confidentiality of personnel issues and Company data.
  • Performing any other duties as assigned by the Executive.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
  • The ideal candidate for the CNOOC Uganda Executive Assistant job
    opportunity should preferably hold a Bachelor’s degree or above in
    Business administration, Information Technology, economics or the
  • Six years of related working experience in an international
  • Excellent report writing and presentation skills.
  • Excellent scheduling and calendar management skills, including the
    coordination of complex executive meetings.
  • Experience using office equipment such as printers, projectors,
    conferencing equipment, fax machines etc.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and
    Outlook and other office management systems.
  • Understanding of oil and Gas E&P.
