Job Summary: The Inspection Officer-Non Life will
mainly monitor and accelerate the
growth of the Life products through supporting the Senior Inspections Officer
in achieving the set operational and institutional targets in accordance with
the provisions of the Insurance Act. 2017

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Carry out Off-Site and
On-Site Inspection of Non-Life Insurance companies and insurance brokers. - Review licence
applications for Insurance players. - Respond to and follow-up
on issues raised during inspection and correspondence with insurance
players. - Monitor the implementation
of the provisions of the Insurance Act 2000 (as amended) and advise on the
adequacy of the law and regulations. - Review and analyze
policies of new insurance products and reinsurance arrangements. - Prepare draft reports on
the status of Non-life insurance. - Keenly analyse and advise
the management on issues concerning Non-life insurance.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The ideal candidate for
the Insurance Regulatory Authority
of Uganda Inspection Officer-Non Life job placement must hold a
relevant Bachelor’s (Honours) degree from a recognized University. - Professional qualification
in insurance (at least 4 papers). - Three years of experience
in insurance preferably claims, underwriting or reinsurance in a reputable
organisation.
