Job Summary:
The Project Accountant – Decide Project will ensure the financial integrity of
Decide – End child marriage project based in Lira, providing consolidated
financial plans and reports for the project in compliance with donor and Plan
financial guidelines. The role has a strong monitoring and capacity building
dimension, ensuring that the partners follow accountability procedures and that
their financial management capacities are strengthened. The role will directly
support the Project Manager in financial monitoring and reporting and the
overall capacity building strategy for the partners.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
that finance and procurement procedures are adhered to by all partners and
implementing staff.
that all budget queries are responded to in time with the right and adequate
project annual audit processes.
project liquidation processes and ensure Quarterly review of all project
expenditure reports and correction of exceptions.
budget monitoring and provide monthly and quarterly updates on budget
utilization and performance.
maintain, and analyze budgets, preparing periodic reports that compare budgeted
costs to actual costs.
accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures.
financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
capacity building plan on financial issues and builds the financial management
capacities of partners so that they can comply with donor and Plan accounting
the Project Manager on financial monitoring issues, expenditure and alignment
with targets and overall implementation plan.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

Administration, Accounting and other related
Must be certified accountant
Holds CPA certifications
Five years of
experience in finance and accounting position with I
Accounting skills
Corporate Finance skills

Attention to Detail and Deadline-Oriented.
