• Develop, champion, and ensure
  implementation of ideas that will optimize total cost of ownership
  year-over-year for assigned spend categories.
• Track forecasted versus actual savings
  for the IT Category, Construction & Electricals and be responsible for
  communicating performance against these measures and their potential
  budgetary impact.
• Develop and implement commodity
  strategies and establish and maintain strategic relationships with
  suppliers to ensure successful implementation and support.

  drive negotiations to achieve stated goals and objectives

• Remain current with market trends
  through relationships with suppliers and market experts; identify and
  communicate new technologies and solutions to key problems in the assigned
  spend areas
• Collaborate effectively across different
  organizational levels, functions, businesses, and geographies to realize
  procurement goals and objectives.
• Analyze data or insights to determine
  industry and consumer trends
• Formulate exit strategies for
  unsuccessful products
• Place appropriate orders to ensure
  product availability that meets consumer demands
• Determine the positioning of a product
  category to maximize visibility
• Liaise with marketing teams to determine
  competitive pricing and promotional activities of a product category
• Make forecasts for product demand to
  ensure the sustainability of inventory
• Prepare and generate monthly performance
  reports
• Oversee support staff (Officer)

• The ideal candidate for the Movit
  Products Limited (MPL) Category Supervisor – General Services job
  placement should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Procurement & SCM, BBA,
  engineering or any business discipline
• Manufacturing experience background is
  preferred
• Professionally qualified individual –
  i.e. CIPS- UK
• At least five years of experience in
  planning or purchasing.
• Knowledge of up to date contract
  language and legislative requirements
• Significant experience in sourcing,
  contracting and project management
• Relevant category experience in the
  relevant area (Construction, Electricals & ICT)
• Solid knowledge of category management,
  marketing and sales principles
• Understanding of data analysis and
  forecasting methods
• Expert negotiator and influencer
• Strategic thinker with the vision to
  plan and drive results
• Strong interpersonal skills for
  communication, networking and influencing.
