Job Summary: The Operations Manager (Head Office) will be responsible for all aspects of branch operations, customer service, new accounts servicing and problem resolution.. the incumbent will be tasked with mobile delivery channel execution, agent engagement strategy and promotion and service. Ensuring exceptional customer service and client protection standards within the Institution.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:  
·         Develop operational strategies and plans for effective operations in line with the UGAFODE strategic plan; including marketing plan.
·         To oversee and manage the development of new lending methodologies and products.
·         To enforce and promote efficient delivery of the loan and savings products with a customer focus and cost consciousness.
·         To oversee, manage and coordinate the branch network with the view to minimizing operational risk and reducing risk.
·         Promote, monitor and operationalize the mobile delivery channel at all branches.
·         Provide guidance on agent engagement for mobile banking services.
·         Manage all operational costs – including branches, to ensure institutional profitability is achieved.
·         Work closely with 3rd party banks, security firms, and insurance companies to ensure UGAFODE risks are appropriately covered.
·         Monitor and assess customer service levels at branch level ensuring appropriate feedback is channeled into product development/enhancement and improved service delivery.
·         Set operational performance objectives and targets for the Branch Managers in line with the strategic plan.
·         Carry out regular reviews of systems, methods and procedures and revise for implementation in line with procedures manual.
·         Ensure that the Branches are in full compliance with all policies, procedures and processes.
·         Assess staff performance in regard to compliance, performance targets and customer service.
·         Ensure all changes to product, process, channels etc. are documented and approved by the necessary bodies. E.g. UGAFODE, Board and BOU.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
·         The applicant for the UGAFODE Operations Manager (Head Office) job placement must hold a  Bachelor’s degree in business related subject from a reputable University
·         Five years of experience in a Senior Management position.
·         Must have worked with a financial institution and been involved in credit and savings operations for a period of not less than 5 years.
·         An effective leadership with ability to enthuse and inspire employees to give their best in order to achieve goals. 
·         Good Management , Management Leadership qualities
·         Communication and Analytical skills
·         Excellent interpersonal skills
·         Energetic and ability to be active throughout and willingness to learn
·         High level of honesty, integrity and confidentiality
·         Excellent communication skills and high level of customer care
·         Willing to work long hours with minimum supervision.
