Job Title:     Office Assistant
Organisation: Law Development Centre (LDC)
Duty Station: Mbarara, Uganda
Reports to: Administrative Assistant

About US:
The Law Development Centre (LDC) has a mandate to provide legal education to lawyers and non-lawyers, undertake research in topical legal issues, contribute to legal reform, produce legal publications, teaching materials, law reports and also provide community legal services.

Job Summary: The Office Assistant will provide administrative and office support.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:  
  • To carry out routine office support such as photocopying and delivering correspondences. 
  • The Office Assistant will also ensure that the offices in the regional centre are clean and tidy.
  • Open and close offices.
  • The Office Assistant will also run office errands
  • To perform any other duties assigned by the Administrative Assistant.


Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
  • The applicant for the Office Assistant job must hold a Uganda Certificate of Education with at least four (4) passes one of which must be in English.
  • A minimum of two years of work experience handling similar work in an institution of higher learning or other reputable institution.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Computer literacy skills
  • High level of integrity and confidentiality
  • Time management
