Job Summary:  The Monitoring & Evaluation Officer will
mainly plan, develop and manage program performance monitoring & evaluation
system, establish information/data base for management purposes in line with
Caritas Moroto Diocese mission.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:  
  • Administer performance-monitoring tools to track program indicators
    in line with the projects’ implementation plan.
  • Collect and process data on program activities as specified in the
    detail program implementation plan.
  • Tasked with the development of monitoring and evaluation framework
    to guide implementation of projects in the organization.
  • Monitor and track implementation of program evaluation in line with
    Caritas Moroto Diocese evaluation strategy and donor regulations.
  • Serves as a resource for Project Implementation on issues related to
    monitoring and evaluation.
  • Performs analysis of data, providing both descriptive and
    inferential statistics, as well as qualitative analysis, that will allow
    for an enhanced understanding of the project indicators.
  • Prepares monitoring and evaluation reports documenting the findings
    of evaluation processes, including the impact of Caritas Moroto Diocese
    work to the communities.
  • Compile progress reports for management decision making in line with
    the projects’ implementation plan and donor requirements.
  • Provide technical support to the project staff, beneficiaries and
    other stakeholders on monitoring and evaluation according to Caritas
    Moroto Diocese evaluation strategy and donor requirement.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
  • The applicant for the Caritas International Monitoring &
    Evaluation Officer job opportunity must hold a relevant Bachelor’s degree
    in either Statistics, Economics, Population Studies or any management
    related field 
  • A Post graduate diploma in monitoring and evaluation or Project
    Planning and Management
  • At least three years of field experience in research, management,
  • monitoring and evaluation of community-based projects.
  • Knowledge on Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation (PME) tools
  • Experience gained within other NGOs is an added advantage.
  • Must be able to work in a team and be prepared to lead and train
    subordinates Communicating information effectively.
  • Knowledge of cultural situation in Karamoja and ability to speak
    Nga’Karimojong will be an added advantage.
  • Thinking clearly, deeply and broadly.
  • Understanding the humanitarian industry.
  • Practicing innovation and change.
  • Learning for growth and development.
  • Proven skills in riding a motorcycle and possession of a valid
    riding license.
