About US:
The Agricultural
Business Initiative (aBi) Trust is supporting agribusiness development in the
private sector to achieve the objective of the Government of Uganda’s
Competitiveness and Investment Climate Strategy (CICS). The Trust is a
multi-donor entity jointly founded by the Governments of Denmark and Uganda.
The mandate of aBi Trust is to support the private sector actors to increase
their contribution to the agricultural sector by increasing land and labour
productivity, and market competitiveness thereby contributing to poverty
reduction through economic growth, wealth, and employment creation.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:  
  • Ensure there is a well maintained, current and comprehensive data
    bases available for use by aBi Finance stakeholders
  • Provide effective support in clerical and routine responsibilities
    that are core to delivery of aBi Finance services
  • Ensure there is a well maintained files, critical documents and
    databases that are accessible to aBi Finance team

Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
  • The applicant for the Investment Assistant job placement must hold a
    degree in either Finance, Economics, Business Administration or a relevant
    professional qualification
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrate the willingness to learn
  • Ability to work against tight deadlines
  • Familiarity of usage of databases and operating systems
  • Communication skills (Oral and Written)
