About USAID Project:
Tetratech
International Services seeks to implement a USAID-funded Uganda Sanitation for
Health Activity. The project will work to increase household access to
sanitation and water services, and improve health through hygiene behavior
change campaigns in homes, schools and health facilities.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
  • The applicant for the USAID Project
    Governance Strengthening Specialist must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in
    Social Sciences or relevant field, Master’s Degree preferred
  • Seven years of experience working with
    district and sub-county governments
  • Previous experience with institutional
    strengthening approaches from the WASH or other sectors (e.g. health). 
  • Applicants with previous USAID experience
    are also encouraged.
  • The ability to work in a multi-cultural,
    multi-ethnic environment with sensitivity and respect for diversity and
    gender are essential requirements.
  • Current residents in Uganda are
    encouraged to apply.
