The International Justice
Mission is a global organization that protects the poor from violence
throughout the developing world. International Justice Mission partners with
local authorities to rescue victims of violence, bring criminals to justice,
restore survivors, and strengthen justice systems.  The International
Justice Mission (IJM) Uganda is working to eliminate property grabbing in
Uganda by bringing rescue and restoration to individual victims, accountability
to their perpetrators, and transformation to the public justice system as a
whole.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
Assisting IJM Director
  • The
    jobholder will manage the Director’s calendar, finance reporting, and
    timesheet
  • Provide
    clerical support (copying, scanning, and printing) for Director.
  • Help
    Director prepare for meetings and track deadlines.
  • Procure
    equipment from stateside vendors.
Organize and Execute Staff
Activities:
  • Organize
    and execute office activities including celebrations, events, etc. 
  • Occasional
    announcements to the staff concerning office wide implementations and
    additions from Headquarters
  • Act
    as a member of the Global Change Network for new technology rollouts for
    the office.
Coordinate Travel and Office
Visits:
  • Arrange
    domestic and international travel for Director.
  • Prepare
    documentation for passports and visas for office staff for HQ visits and
    event appearances.
  • Liaise
    with headquarters to coordinate international visits.
  • Prepare
    itineraries for visiting headquarters staff and donors.
Provide Relocation Support: Act as the point of contact for new
interns/fellows and coordinate relocation logistics including housing,
departure dates, orientation etc.
Development: Participate in IJM programs in
professionalism and Christian spiritual formation.



Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
  • The
    ideal candidate for the International Justice Mission (IJM) Executive
    Assistant job must hold a Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Prior
    clerical /administrative experience.
  • Computer
    literate with proficiency in MS Word, Power Point, Excel and Outlook.
  • Fluency
    in English required.
  • Mature
    Christian faith.
  • Passionate
    commitment to IJM’s mission and values.
  • High
    level of self-motivation and personal initiative.
  • Intelligent,
    organized, creative and proactive problem solver.
  • Effective
    organizer, planner and implementer; detail-oriented.
  • Good
    leader and team player.
  • Works
    well under stress with a sustained positive attitude.
  • Exceptionally
    high level of honesty and integrity.
  • Ability
    to cooperate effectively in a multi-cultural environment.
  • The
    successful candidate should have strong attention to detail, be able to
    multi-task successfully, handle stressful situations in a professional
    manner, and consistently present a positive image to internal and external
    customers.
