Job Summary: The Education
Manager (Academic Co-ordination and Inspection) will create and monitor sustainable
academic performance initiatives in our upper primary section in a way that
will uphold and preserve the delivery of our vision.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Overall
    planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of academic programs
    in our upper primary section.
  • Spearhead
    inspection and coordination of staff in the upper primary section with an
    aim of identifying training needs which will be the basis of staff
    training and deployment in different classes.
  • Creation
    of a talent pipeline through which exceptional staff in the upper section
    will be identified and nurtured more for leadership opportunities in the
    fraternity.
  • Occasionally
    undertake environment scanning drives to advise management on the current
    trends in education as well as the best practices for high academic
    performance.
  • Work
    closely with our examination department to ensure that our upper sections’
    examinations’ sourcing, setting and moderation meet the expected
    standards.
  • Keenly
    monitor implementation of our academic policies in all our campuses and
    advise on development and review of new and old ones respectively.
  • Give
    a clear account of work done on monthly and termly basis making sure to
    highlight the performance of the section and staff therein, challenges and
    strategies to mitigate the identified challenges.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
  • The
    applicant must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Education
  • Ten
    years of teaching experience
  • Five
    years of proven leadership
  • Demonstrable
    good performance record
  • Demonstrable
    knowledge of interpretation of the Ugandan primary school curriculum
  • Experience
    as an examiner and in inspection and training will be an added advantage.
  • Must
    be a team player with great interpersonal skills
  • Must
    have the ability to train and mentor teachers.
  • Must
    be proactive and result oriented.
  • Must
    have passion for the teaching profession.
  • Age: Between 35 – 40 years old.
