Job Summary: The Assistant
Operations Manager will increase company profitability & school
satisfaction by overseeing logistics and procurement of quality products from
reputable sources of the company, store operations in a safe, secure, efficient
and cost-effective manner that complies with company policy.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:  
  • The
    incumbent will supervise and schedule supplies to all schools to ensure
    safe and efficient operations of the store
  • Ensure
    the orders received are dispatched accurately and within specified
  • Preparing
    GRN (Goods Received Notes) & sign off delivery notes
  • In
    charge of Sourcing for vendors and initiation of RFQs
  • Ensure
    safe, clean and healthy working environment in compliance to statutory
    requirements and company policies
  • Responsible
    for collecting invoices and give the information to the accounts
    processing of payments
  • Distribution
    of different items to schools and managing supply e.g. uniforms, learning
    resources, text books etc
  • Processing
    LPO’s and having them signed by the required people.
  • Manage
    and follow up on payments to suppliers.
  • Build
    long-term partnership with suppliers by effective communication, strong
    analytical and problem solving capabilities.
Key Results Areas:
  • Effective Supervision of incoming, outgoing
    stocks & Inspection for conformity of specifi
    cations and damage of all supplies
  • Complete documentation and entries for supplies
  • Improved company supplier relationship
  • Cost effective procurement ensured.
  • Well organized, clean, tidy and secured store.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
  • The applicant must hold a Bachelor’s degree in
    Procurement / Supply Chain Management / Logistics /or business related
    field from a reputable academic institution.
  • Experience in Procurement and Logistics.
  • The applicant must be an honest and well balanced person with integrity
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal
  • Strong interpersonal and communication (written
    and spoken) skills
  • Excellent relevant computer applications: MS
    Word, , Excel, PowerPoint, Internet and email.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills, good attention to detail.
  • Ability to problem solve and work as part of a
