largest producer of steel roofing and the pioneer in the production of
Aluminium Zinc coated steel on the continent. The company is a leading
manufacturer of roofing sheets and allied products with branches in Kampala,
Arua and Tororo.
Job Summary: The Security
Officer will safeguard company property, staff, visitors, clients and act as a
liaison between UBL and relevant law enforcement stakeholders.
Key Duties and
Responsibilities:  
  • Coordinate security procedures to ensure a
    safe and secure environment within the company and its branch operations.
  • Plan, implement, monitor and evaluate job
    schedules and deployment of security guards  including any others from partner
    security companies engaged by the company.
  • Conduct regular security and business risk
    audits and facilitate implementation of corrective actions to address
    potential security risks.
  • Conduct investigations into fraud and
    other crimes committed or about to be committed on the company premises
    and recommending courses of action to management.
  • Work closely with relevant security organs
    outside the company (Uganda Police Force, Security Officers from other
    Organizations and Informants) on matters of crime and investigation.
  • Participate in designing, implementation
    of review of security management processes and policies.



Qualifications, Skills and
Experience:
  • The ideal candidate should preferably hold
    a Diploma level education in any discipline.
  • At least five years of experience in
    setting up and managing systems and processes in a manufacturing or high
    risk security environment.
  • Progressive career and experience at
    senior levels in the Military, Police, National Security Intelligence or
    Criminal Investigations.
  • Ability to establish and maintain good
    relationships, both internally and externally at all levels.
  • A Police clearance /Certificate of good
    conduct is a must
