Job Summary: The Business
Development Manager plans and manages all Business Development activities
including but not limited to Identifies, monitors, research, and reports on all
business opportunities in addition to lead marketing activities in the assigned
region. The Business Development Manager should preferably be an Engineer
reporting to the Commercial Director / Managing Director.
Key Duties and
Responsibilities:   
  • Develop and implement short- and long-term
    business plans consistent with company goals and objectives.
  • Establish and implement active program of
    company’s public relations.
  • Identify contracting business
    opportunities, conduct feasibility studies to determine viability of each
    opportunity, recommend potential projects in which the company should be
    involved.
  • Seek new markets appropriate to the needs
    and capabilities of the company and identify and act upon new profitable
    business opportunities in order to Increase market share and company
    awareness, in emerging markets.
  • Establish marketing goals, develop and execute
    marketing plans and programs to ensure expansion of company services.
  • Research, analyze and monitor financial,
    technological and demographic factors so that market opportunities may be
    capitalized on and the effects of competitive activity can be minimized.
  • Maintain up to date business intelligence.
    Prepare marketing activity reports for management.
  • Maintain a strong relationship with all
    stakeholders, and cultivate current and potential business contacts.
  • Performs related duties as assigned.



Qualifications, Skills and
Experience:
  • The applicant must hold a B.Sc. preferably
    in Engineering with minimum 15 years of experience, at least 3 of them in
    managing Business Development activities.
  • Master degree or Post Graduate Diploma in
    Marketing is a plus.
  • Strong Business Development experience
    within electrical construction organization(s).
  • Excellent business sense and market
    vision.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication,
    and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent leadership and team management
    skills.
  • Proven track record of success in BD.
  • Fluent in Spanish and English, French will
    be an assist.
