White Showmans Limited has been in existence for over 30 years and
their core business is trading with a chain of Shops in Uganda, Burundi, Congo
and Kenya mainly dealing in Batteries, Home Appliances, LED Lighting, Personal
care and White Goods products.
Job Summary: The Brand
Manager will be tasked with creating a lasting impression among consumers and
improving product sales and market share. The Brand Manager will be in charge
of brand ownership and provide the vision, mission, goals and strategies to
match up to overall business objective.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Steward of the brand that supports our new brand
promise, brand vision, brand position, brand architecture and achieve overall
business goals for the brand.
Actively participates in brand strategy
discussions and in setting a bulls-eye consumer target.
Participates on a cross-functional team to bring
new products following the process, including analyzing information to help set
the sales forecast and financials.
Work in liaison with many teams, including
product developers, researchers, marketing personnel and creative consultants
to make sure the portfolio brand values and image are followed as well as
ensuring the brand remains relevant to consumers and that all initiatives
support the brand promise.
Driving the highest standards of execution for
the brand. Ensuring excellence in the development and execution of brand
strategy, commercialization, and communication and activation strategies.
Analyzes market, consumer, competitive
information and support in setting new product pricing and managing price on
existing items.
Assist in development of pricing and pack
strategies, to improve margin.
Carry out analysis and periodical reviews of the
brand, competitive, category, customer and consumer trends to enhance the
brand’s equity and market share performance.
Review channel and customer-specific
point-of-purchase trade plans and provides feedback on consistency with
marketing plan.
Analyze current performance, trends, market
conditions, and other contributing factors to recommend revenue goals.
Develop growth targets, business objectives and
brand strategies for the brand portfolio that aligns with corporate business
Responsible for Social Media Management and
Events Capturing
Translate brand strategies into brand plans,
brand positioning and go-to-market strategies.
Regularly monitor product distribution and
consumer reactions.
Anticipate bottlenecks and come up with
appropriate solutions.
Brainstorm new and innovative brand growth

Qualifications, Skills and
The ideal candidate for the Brand Manager
Position must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Commerce,
majoring in Marketing or its equivalent from a reputable organization.
A minimum of five years of working experience in
busy Trading environment specifically Personal Health Care and Electronic
fields. Prior Experience working with Game and Shoprite is an added advantage.
Excellent analytical, creativity, innovative,
selling, customer care and
Possess a positive attitude, excellent
communication, professionalism, high level of integrity and confidentiality,
ability to work extra hours, self-driven, flexible, results focused, work under
pressure with minimum supervision.
Computer literacy skills i.e. proficiency in
Word, Excel, Power-point, MS Project
High cognitive ability.
