Title: Social Worker (3 Fresher Jobs)
operating in Uganda since 2006, offering services in mental health care for
post-conflict populations specifically to refugees and host populations.
Through its clinic and community-based programming, PCAF brings novel
approaches to treatment of tens of thousands of patients each year. Working
closely with government and other partners in mental health PCAF is positioning
itself to increase its impact through building community-based mental health
treatment and other models of care.
worker will be responsible for the social and welfare needs of patients and
relatives at the health facility and in the community. The person(s) be
responsible for identifying patients with social needs, offer psycho-social
support. Social care and emotional therapy to patients and their relatives/
families. They will be expected to carry out home visits to patients and impart
coping skills to both the patients and their family members or relatives, will
diagnose and treat mental, behavioral, and emotional disorders, including
anxiety and depression. He(She) will be tasked to refer clients to other relevant
services, such as provider NGOs, support groups or professionals.
Experience:
- The applicants must hold Bachelor’s
Degrees in Social Work and Social Administration or related field. - Two years of experience.
- Knowledge in social models and livelihoods
is an added advantage - Proficiency in the local language and Juba
Arabic is an added advantage.
