Job Summary: The Family
Planning Officers – HIWA Project wil strengthen the implementation of Family
health services at the USAID/HIWA supported health facilities in collaboration with
the regional coordinators and the health facility staff.
Key Duties and
Responsibilities:  
  • Manage the implementation and scale up of
    Community based family planning program in the USAID HIWA supported
    communities in UPF, PSG, UWA and Hotels
  • To ensure the MNCH services are provided
    in accordance to MOH standards and protocols at the selected health
    facilities
  • To provide continuous medical education of
    MNCH and family planning to the service providers at the selected
    facilities
  • Formulate strategies for improving male
    involvement and adolescents in SRH programs at selected health facilities
    and communities
  • The jobholder will also improve
    documentation and reporting of MNCH and family planning activities at
    facility level for program evaluation and planning



Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
  • The ideal candidate for the World Vision Family
    Planning Officer job opportunity should hold a diploma or degree in
    midwifery, comprehensive nursing and or nursing.
  • A minimum of two years’ experience in
    service delivery and health system strengthening for family health
    services
  • Training in Sayana press and Implanon NXT
    is an added advantage
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office packages
    for report writing and presentation
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to
    work well with others and to develop and maintain relationships
  • Excellent oral and written communication
    skills in English
  • Ability to train and mentor others.
  • Ability to multi-task
