Job Summary: The Project
Assistant will provide Secretarial and administrative support to the Project
Management Team.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Prepare
    drafts and final written non-technical correspondence such as letters,
    memoranda, meeting minutes, tables and charts.
  • Transmit
    inquiries and confirming letters/orders/agreements to internal team and
    external bodies, materials and service suppliers/vendors via. fax, mail
    and courier etc.
  • Maintain
    project files, purchase orders, contract files, vendor catalog and data,
    Legal documents etc.
  • Support
    the document controller with the maintenance of the project filing system.
  • Generates
    Project monthly, quarterly and annual reports and distributes to project
    stakeholders.
  • Maintain
    stationery and office supply inventory. Liaison contact for facilities and
    office equipment (such as copy and fax machines) maintenance;
  • Ensure
    timely arrangement of meetings and coordinates travel arrangements,
    maintains schedule of appointments and takes meeting minutes etc.
  • Perform
    other duties as required by the Supervisor..



Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
  • The
    ideal candidate for the CNOOC Uganda Project Assistant job opportunity should
    preferably hold a Bachelor’s degree or above in Business Administration,
    Information Science or related.
  • A
    minimum of two years related working experience.
  • Excellent
    calendar management skills, including the coordination of complex
    executive meetings.
  • Administrative
    support experience including coordination with Management-level personnel.
  • Strong
    knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Excellent
    command of written and spoken English.
  • Excellent
    interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Broad
    understanding of oil & gas E&P.
