number of countries in Africa and Asia on poverty alleviation Programs, is
registered in Uganda as BRAC Uganda. The organization implements integrated
development approach combining Education, Health, Agriculture, Livestock,
Adolescent Empowerment and Microfinance.
About TUP Project:
The TUP (Targeting the Ultra
Poor) project is to assist the ultra poor to improve their livelihoods &
bring about positive changes in achieving economic, social & inspirational
changes and assist them to access mainstream development services.
Consequently, the TUP project has been implemented as a part of BRAC’s holistic
development approach geared toward inclusion & to work towards achieving
the sustainable development goals (SDGs).
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Ensure
    the implementation & management of the TUP Project.
  • Develop
    the proposal for the programme & plan to lead programme teams in the
    key areas of the project design.
  • Provide
    overall technical support, Supervise & monitor field operational
    activities through field visits for smooth implementation of project
    activities
  • Build
    and maintain linkages with relevant programmes of BRAC operations in
    Uganda, external development organizations, other international organizations
    and other stakeholders.          
  • Manage
    project budgets and analyze monthly accounts statement regularly    



Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
  • The
    applicant must hold a Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, Development
    studies  or related. Masters in
    Development studies is added advantage.
  • At
    least three years of working experience in agribusiness approaches with
    youth livelihood programs, poor communities & NGOs/Development sector.
  • Good
    technical knowledge on livelihood aspects.
  • Good
    computer skills (MS office proficiency)
  • Excellent
    report writing and analytical skills
  • Ability
    to work independently work with minimal supervision in a team setting
  • Excellent
    communication and interpersonal skills, leadership qualities, culture
    sensitivity, flexibility, adaptability and resilience.
