Job Summary: The Project
Coordinator – EU Project will manage and ensure that all activities related to
project are implemented in a timely and efficiently manner according to the
agreed Donor Guidelines, especially EU/Aid standards and budget, and provide
leadership and coordination for all aspects related to project activities in
Busia and Tororo Districts.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Project
    Management and Coordination:
  • Provide
    overall leadership, management and guidance to the development of project
    designs.
  • Guide
    and provide technical support to staff.
  • Manage
    and coordinate project activity implementation.
  • Strengthen
    capacity of implementing partners
Project monitoring and
evaluation
  • Facilitate
    effective monitoring, documentation and reporting in compliance with
    agreed standards
  • Ensure
    a functional project M&E system
Finance Management:
  • Manage
    project finances and assets in line with WV policy
  • Budget
    management and control
  • Manage
    sub granting processes to partners
Performance management and Supervision:
  • Manage,
    supervise and build capacity of staff in project development, management
    and implementation.
  • Monitor
    and document performance of partners
Project Development:
  • Guide
    staff in design and development of Annual Operation Plans and budgets
  • Review
    project documents
Networking and Collaboration:
  • Identify
    and build strategic linkages, relations, collaborations and networks with
    partners and other stakeholders in planning and implementation.
  • Develop
    platforms for sharing information with partners and stakeholders
  • Guide
    and participate in joint campaigns, advocacy initiatives around youth and
    women empowerment with partners and stakeholders
  • Ensure
    project advocacy initiatives are implemented in line with WVUs Advocacy
    agenda
Documentation and Reporting:
  • Timely
    submission of end of monthly, bi – annual and annual reports
  • Documentation
    and sharing of best/promising practices to strengthen WVU`s institutional
    memory and learning



Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
  • The
    ideal candidate for the World Vision Project Coordinator – EU Project job
    opportunity should hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Rural or Agricultural
    Development, Development Studies, Environment or related field.
  • Three
    years or more experience of working with youth and women empowerment
    projects/programs
  • Practical
    experience in implementation of green production and collective marketing
    initiatives
  • Entrepreneurship,
    micro finance, strong agribusiness and value chain analysis skills,
  • Previous
    experience in the formation and strengthening of producer business groups
  • Resource
    mobilization skills
  • Knowledge
    of M&E, documentation and reporting
  • Proven
    experience in project management, developing partnerships and Private
    sector engagement
  • Experience
    with youth-women centered advocacy and engagement
  • Self-motivated
    with excellent time management skills.
  • Track
    record demonstrating high integrity, reliability and dependable
  • Ability
    to work with minimal supervision.
