Key Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Allocate
    and monitor work assigned to subordinates
  • Provide
    technical guidance and support to subordinates in the plant.
  • Monitor
    inventory and prepare requisitions for raw materials and spare parts.
  • Prepare
    daily production reports
  • Daily
    oversee of preventive maintenance in the plant.
  • Monitor
    performance of workers during the production process.
  • Enter
    production data into the Enterprise Resource Application database
  • To
    oversee housekeeping in the production area.
  • In
    consultation with the Manufacturing Manager, determine and implement
    efficient production methods.
  • Ensure
    that the products are produced on time and of good quality.
  • Monitor
    the production process and make sure that quality-control programs are
    implanted.
  • Is
    responsible for the selection and maintenance of equipment and work with
    managers to ensure that the company’s policies and goals are accomplished
    on time.
  • Implement
    the health and safety guidelines in the plant.
  • Identifying
    training needs.
  • Perform
    any other duties assigned by the BUM/Manufacturing Manager



Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
  • The
    applicant for the Mukwano Production Officer, Laundry Soap job placement must
    hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Food Science and Technology;
    Chemistry or related discipline
  • At
    least two years of working experience in plastics production section in a
    busy manufacturing set up.
  • Excellent
    oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent
    customer care skills, good numerical ability
  • Good
    positive attitude
  • Good
    team player, flexible
  • Results-focused,
  • Takes
    personal initiative
  • Good
    logical reasoning skills
  • Good
