The Uganda Kolping Society (UKS) is a Catholic Social Action
Organisation which is part of the International Kolping Society (IKS), based in
Cologne Germany and founded by Fr. Adolph Kolping. It is a worldwide network of
Kolping families organised variably at Local, Regional and International levels.
Uganda Kolping Society owns Companies of Kolping Microfinance (U) LTD and
Kolping Holdings (U) Ltd.
Key Duties and
Responsibilities: 
·        
Keenly review financial and accounting systems
of operation in UKS and its subsidiary Companies to ensure that they are
adequate, effective and conform to the accepted standards.
·        
Inspect / examine organisation’s accounts to
ensure adherence to financial rules, regulations, procedures and practice.
·        
The jobholder will identify and report process
improvements value-added observations for audited units that help enhance
operational effectiveness, customer service quality and efficient use of
resources.
·        
Ensure adequate documentation is maintained to
substantiate all audit related issues.
·        
Prepare and submit reports of audit as well as
investigative findings, related risks, causes and recommendations for
improvement in an efficient, timely and concise manner.
·        
Conduct follow-up activities to make sure audit
findings are resolved.
·        
Communicate audit findings with Management at the
end of audit fieldwork through a discussion and through written reports.
·        
The incumbent will make recommendations on the
best means for the organizations to avoid fraud and reduce waste
·        
Assess the best financial practices for the
organization and make appropriate recommendations



Qualifications, Skills and
Experience:
·        
The applicant should preferably hold an Honors
degree in Commerce, Bachelor of Business Administration (Accounting option) or
its equivalent from a recognized Institution.
·        
Possess CPAU or ACCA
·        
A minimum of three years’ experience in a
reputable organisation
·        
Excellent interpersonal, communication,
leadership skills and capable of working with others; with ability to
effectively coach and develop subordinates
·        
The applicant should be an officer of high
caliber, dedication and integrity
·        
Capacity to meet tight deadlines with efficiency
