Job Summary: The Senior IT
Audit Officer will provide assurance audits on the risk, governance and control
environment of the Bank’s Information Systems to ensure confidentiality,
integrity and availability of the Bank’s Information Systems &
Infrastructure. The jobholder will also provide advisory services on
Information Technology System Development Life cycle/Acquisition of all systems
and modules that the Bank introduces.
Key Duties and
Responsibilities:  
·        
Provide input in developing appropriate audit
tests aimed at addressing identified IT risks and achieving the desired audit
objectives to provide assurance that IT risks are effectively managed or
mitigated.
·        
Carries out all assigned audits end-to-end;
including planning, evaluating and documenting the results, reporting and
follow up in accordance with the annual audit plan.
·        
Prepare clear and concise audit reports on audit
findings, detected non-compliance with bank policies, guidelines, statutory
requirements and procedures for discussion with management, and the Manager IS
Audit before final reports are issued for corrective action.
·        
Support the Manager IS Audit in providing input
to the annual IS audit plan/strategy to be included in the larger departmental
Annual Audit Plan.
·        
Take a supporting role to the Senior Manager IS
Audit in putting programs and initiatives in place to support Internal Audit
Department to optimize the use of existing CAATs (i.e. Team Mate and ACL Audit
Exchange audit systems) such as providing internal technical support and
knowledge sharing services to all users when necessary.
·        
Providing first level assurance services on all
key levels of the system development life cycle and acquisition process on all
Information Technology System and modules brought into the bank’s IT
environment.

Tasked with developing and maintaining
productive client, staff and management relationships through individual contacts
and group meetings



Qualifications, Skills and
Experience:
·        
The ideal candidate for the Housing Finance Bank
Senior IT Audit Officer job placement must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer
Science, Information Systems/Technology or related field.
·        
Professional Information Systems
Audit/Security/Risk Certifications such as CISA, CISM, or CISSP will be of
added advantage.
·        
A minimum of three years of experience in areas
of IT Audit/Risk/Security preferably with a financial institution.
·        
Possession of technical knowledge in Core
information system domains specifically Networks, Databases (Oracle and MS
SQL), Operating systems (MS & UNIX) and General computer applications.
·        
Working knowledge of ACL and/or Teammate Audit
Systems is an added advantage
·        
Good report writing skills.
·        
Extensive knowledge auditing standards and
techniques is an added advantage.
·        
Excellent interpersonal skills and a good team
player.
·        
Commendable analytical skills in evaluating data
and information.
·        
Good negotiation skills.
·        
Good communication skills both verbal and
written.
·        
Personal commitment to meet or exceed all
targets and objectives.
·        
Utmost professional integrity.
