Help International (AAH)
Hilfe e. V (AAH) and was registered in Munich, Germany from where our founders
in 2003 moved the organisation’s headquarters to Kenya. AAH-I now works with
refugees, host communities and other marginalized and vulnerable groups in
Kenya, Uganda, Somalia and South Sudan, where it operates across a range of
sectors that seek to bridge relief to development.
Nations World Food Programme (UNWFP) to implement programmes from the in the
District of Lamwo (Palabek Refugee Settlement).
Nutritionist will provide nutritional awareness services to the community and
patients with nutritional deficits in line with donor and AAH guidelines.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Advise/Counsel
people with nutritional problems
Take
part in the community outreach services for adequate nutritional awareness
promotion
Provide
special nutritional advise and services for therapeutic purposes
Build
the capacity of staff and the community groups on proper nutrition
Participate
in research activities that will uplift the current nutritional
knowledge bank and support the efforts to have a healthy community
Ensure
malnutrition case screening and growth monitoring is carried out and
appropriate corrective actions implemented
Ensure
kitchen food stores and other equipment are kept clean and safe from
contaminants and theft
Ensure
SFP and TFP nutrition are carried out
Take
charge and ensure the MCH nutrition programme is carried out, monitor and
evaluate its impact
Responsible
for proper records management on activities under nutrition services
Responsible
for nutrition related HIV programmes
Prepare
and submit monthly reports on time for inclusion in the overall programme
progress report
Perform
any other duties as assigned by the supervisor

Experience:

Uganda (AAH U) Nutritionist job opportunity should hold a Bachelor’s degree in nutrition and human
dietetics and / or a related field from a recognized institution of
higher learning.
A
minimum of three years’ experience in similar or higher position.
Previous
experience in food and beverage preparation
Excellent
inter-personal and communication skills
Excellent
command of both written and spoken English
Patient
and of a pleasant character
Excellent
presentation skills
Able
to capacity build and develop others
Ability
to mobilize different audiences
Ability
to ride motorcycle, with a valid rider permit
