Job Summary: The Procurement
Intern is responsible for conducting specific procurement activities under the
supervision of the Operations Coordinator.
Key Duties and
Responsibilities:  
·        
Carries
out market surveys for frequently purchased items in relation to SLAs
(Enter SLA Data ready for analysis, prepare evaluation reports, draft SLAs for
selected vendors)
·        
Take
part in Supplier information verification, due diligence, workshop visits etc.
·        
Design
a Database tracker for long term contracts: Leases, Internet, SLAs etc.
·        
Handling
Procurement filing for both electronic and hard copy documents
·        
Support
the management and office staff with procurement activities, as required
·        
Perform any other duties as may be assigned



Qualifications, Skills and
Experience: 
·        
The
applicant must be a fresh graduate with a degree in Procurement and Logistics
Management/ Procurement and Purchasing or other relevant field
·        
Willingness
to learn and work in a professional environment
·        
Possess
excellent planning and organizational skills
·        
Ability
to prioritize tasks
·        
Excellent
interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
·        
Proven
ability and experience working independently will be an added advantage
·        
Computer
literacy skills i.e. proficiency in MS Excel.
·        
Proven
ability to multi-task and process information into action so as to not delay
program activities.
·        
Broad
knowledge and understanding of procurement ethics is essential.
