Voice over Internet Protocol (VOIP) call termination and Wholesale Data,
trading as Roke Telkom.
Job Summary: The Sales
Executive will tasked with seeking for and securing new business in line with
set monthly targets with the view to growing ROKE Telkom’s market share. To
seek and secure opportunities for value added sales with existing clients and
to represent ROKE Telkom in a professional and efficient manner at all times.
Key Duties and
Responsibilities:  
  • The
    jobholder will be identifying potential contacts amongst the target
    group (e.g. from referrals, newspaper reports, personal contacts) and
    initiating meetings
  • Tasked
    with receiving drop-in customers and receiving and responding to e-mail
    and telephone enquiries
  • Seeking
    to understand customer needs in a way that is responsive to
    individual customer requirements
  • At
    all times, treating customers with respect and warmth according to best
    practices in customer service.
  • Consistently
    meet or exceed sales targets set for the role of Sales Executive as
    outlined by the sales and marketing manager on a monthly basis
  • Send
    updates on performance during weekly sales and marketing team meetings
  • Seek
    feedback and advice from the Sales and Marketing Manager to ensure targets
    are met
  • The
    incumbent will share knowledge on how to secure new business and leads
    with the rest of the sales and marketing team as and when required to
    promote the professional development of the entire team
  • Support
    customers in making buying decisions and to explain product
    benefits in an accurate and appealing manner



Qualifications, Skills and
Experience:
  • The ideal candidate for the Roke Telkom
    Sales Executive employment opportunity must hold a good Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or
    Business Administration from a recognized university or an equivalent
    qualification/proven work experience.
  • One to two years of progressively responsible experience in a fast paced
    commercial environment and in a similar sales role.
  • Significant
    experience within a telecommunications environment and ideally a corporate
    sales role.
  • Excellent
    negotiation skills
  • Extremely
    proactive – self starter.
  • Excellent
    interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Excellent
    problem solving and analytical skills;
  • Keen
    attention to detail and multitasking ability;
  • Result-
    and team-oriented, honest and of high integrity; and
  • Ability
    to work with minimum supervision.
