Job Summary: The Accountant
will be responsible for managing the finance function ensuring the maintenance,
reporting, management and administration of the company’s financial resources
in accordance with internationally accepted accounting practices.

Key Duties and
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities:
- Update existing books of accounts and carry
out the necessary reconciliations to bring the organizations’ financial
position to date - The incumbent will prepare statutory
financial statements and reports - Guide management on various sources of
revenue - Conduct bank reconciliations
- Support management to write funding
proposals to development partners and donors - Prepare financial manual.
Key Performance Indicators:
- Budget developed, prepared, monitored and
controlled - Audit opinion rating
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience:
- The ideal candidate must hold a Bachelor’s
degree in Commerce, Business Administration with bias in accounting option
from a recognized University - Professional Accounting qualifications
(ACCA, CPA) will be preferred - A minimum of five years’ experience working in a reputable organization.
- Extensive knowledge of accounting packages
like TALLY, QUICK BOOKS is of added advantage - Extensive knowledge of financials for
member based organizations and NGOs will be an added advantage.
