Mildmay Uganda is a faith- based local Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) offering Comprehensive HIV Care & treatment, Training, Research & General Medical Services; also providing Health Systems Strengthening to scale up comprehensive HIV/AIDS Services in 16 districts of Central Uganda.

Job Summary:  The VMMC Regional Supervisor will act as the
team-lead, overseeing the activities of the VMMC Project staff as well as
supervising VMMC services carried out by other partners on behalf of Mildmay
Uganda to ensure delivery of quality VMMC Services to clients. S/he will also
provide technical support to the DHTs and health facilities of the MUg
supported districts.
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience:
  • The ideal candidate for the Mildmay VMMC
    Regional Supervisor job opportunity must hold a Bachelor of Medicine and
    Surgery Degree, a Certificate in VMMC for HIV prevention from a recognized
    VMMC training institution in Uganda.
  • Possess full and active registration with
    the relevant professional body.
  • At least three years of post internship experience
    in a busy HIV/AIDS clinical setting and demonstrable technical knowledge
    of HIV combination prevention.
  • Excellent communication (oral and written)
    skills
  • Good teaching/presentation skills;
  • Highly analytical and good decision making
    skills;
  • Good problem solving skills;
  • Computer literacy skills i.e. proficiency
    in various MS office packages.
  • Show commitment to quality and excellence,
    and holding the highest levels of integrity and confidentiality.
  • Highly flexible and reliable
  • Evidence of a non-judgemental approach
    regarding race, religion, culture, sexuality and lifestyle is critical.
