InterAid Uganda Limited (IAU) is a non-governmental humanitarian
national organization established in 1988, and duly registered with the NGO
Board and NGO Forum. IAU is actively involved in programs geared towards the
protection and improvement of lives of disadvantaged people living in urban and
rural areas in Uganda and in the Great Lakes Region. InterAid Uganda is focused
on its thematic areas of Rights Protection, Education, Livelihood & Food
Security, Health (HIV&AIDS; Malaria; Maternal and Reproductive Health),
Water, Sanitation & Hygiene (WASH), Environment and Disaster Management and
good Management and Governance systems.
Job Summary: The Sexual and
Gender Based Violence (SGBV) Officer will plan, coordinate and implement
programme activities for the prevention, protection and response of SGBV in the
refugee/host communities, and promote protection integration activities in
coordination with other desks within the program and stakeholders.
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience:
  • The ideal candidate for the InterAid
    Uganda Limited (IAU) Sexual and Gender Based Violence (SGBV) Officer job
    opportunity should preferably hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences,
    Law, Social Work and Social Administration, Psychology, Community
    Psychology, or any equivalent.
  • At least five years’ experience in
    programme development and implementation of child protection programs with
    an NGO.
  • Extensive knowledge in SASA methodology
  • Previous exposure and experience in using
    mobile and innovative technologies
  • Excellent communication skills both oral
    and written.
  • Good report writing skills
