Job Summary: The Human
Resource Business Partner (HRO- Training and Employee Welfare) will be in
charge of identifying business skills gaps and thereafter planning, organizing
and coordinating the implementation of appropriate training, development and
engagement interventions to enable MPL achieve its business objectives. The job
holder shall also be responsible for the provision of effective welfare
services to staff to maintain optimal levels of morale and productivity
Key Duties and
Responsibilities:  
  • Develops
    and implements skills gap analysis processes annually
  • Develops
    annual training plan linked to business needs and implements Learning
    & Development programs across the organization
  • The
    jobholder manages Learning and Development policies and procedures that
    will guarantee business productivity.
  • Conducts
    orientation/ induction sessions and arrange on-the-job training for
    new hires.
  • Formulates
    and implements initiatives that will drive employee engagement across the
    business.
  • Champions
    all change management processes.
  • Implements
    the company annual Career Expo and manages and coordinates all
    industrial training and internship programs
  • Regularly
    monitors and supports all training suppliers’ deliverables in line with
    the signed contracts
  • Develops
    reporting and tracking tools linked to training and development and evaluates
    the impact thereof.
  • Develop
    and tracks the training budgets
  • Administers
    and tracks the welfare services e.g. managing the company pension scheme,
    canteen services, Identity cards and Medical scheme, E-Leave system to
    ensure that new staff get their medical cards, benefits among
    others in time, bereavement, sports, and takes charge of all staff
    activities including meetings, staff parties, birthdays, sports
    activities, etc.
  • The
    incumbent manages Internal and external communication from HR.
  • Builds
    amicable working relationships with employees and guides them on
    personal and work related issues through employee assisted programs.
  • Develops
    and maintains amicable relationships with various stakeholder’s e.g.
    medical insurance providers, canteen, banks, etc.
  • In charge of the HR calendar 
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience:
  • The applicants for the MPL Human Resource
    Business Partner (HRO- Training and Employee Welfare) job opportunity
    should hold a University Degree in Human Resource Management, Social
    Sciences or any other related field from an accredited institution.
  • Professional Qualification and or Post
    Graduate Diploma in HRM
  • A minimum of three years’ experience
    preferably in FMCG
  • Extensive knowledge of Training needs assessment
  • Working
    knowledge of contemporary learning and development techniques and programs
  • Computer
    literacy skills with proficiency in PowerPoint, Word and Spreadsheets.
  • Good
    presentation and facilitation skills
