grown and spread its wings into Tanzania, South Sudan, Uganda, Rwanda and

has the largest branch network in the region with over 238 branches, 950 ATMs
and 8,000 agents offering banking services on a 24/7 basis in East Africa. KCB
Bank Uganda was established in the year 2007 and has grown to become one of
Uganda’s top ten commercial banks. Currently KCB Bank Uganda has 14 branches
complemented with 16 ATMs spread on Kampala Road, Commercial Plaza, Ben
Kiwanuka, Luwum Street, Oasis Mall Sixth Street, Arua, Elgon Masaba, Fort
Portal, Gulu, Hoima, Lira, Mbarara and Jinja that offer trade financing,
corporate and retail banking services to customers.
Job Summary: The HR Business
Partner will be responsible for facilitating the implementation of appropriate
hr strategies and plans focused on development and management of human capital
programs that will engage, develop and retain employees in line with the bank’s
vision, values and business objectives.
Key Duties and
Responsibilities:   
  • Assist the Head of HR in the development
    of annual hr business plan and ensure that agreed deliverables are
    achieved.
  • The incumbent will position the role of
    business partner as an integral part of the business management by
    developing effective working relationships, influencing and challenging
    the business unit leaders on the development and delivery of their people
    plans in support of the achievement of the business area and hr
    strategies.
  • The HR Business Partner will create the
    bank’s strategic recruitment and selection plan including recommending an
    appropriate organization structure and coordinating the bank’s equal
    opportunity programs to achieve diversity goals
  • The jobholder will also manage staff
    compensation and benefits, reward and recognition to ensure that bank is
    able to attract and retain talent
  • Develop and embed performance management
    processes and discipline to ensure the bank is a high performing
    organization
  • Drive the preferred organization culture
    through programs that promote and embed identifies values/behaviors and
    business ethics
  • Manage employee relations to build a
    climate that enhances business delivery through sound industrial relations
  • Evaluate and recommend human resource
    outsourcing opportunities and identify potential vendors.
  • Develop and manage HR annual budgets and
    perform periodic cost and productivity analysis
  • Ensure enforcement of risk and compliance
    requirements through proactive monitoring and updating of controls,
    policies, sops and slash.
  • Work closely with department managers and
    corporate staff to develop short and long term business plans for the
    bank.
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience:
  • The applicant for the HR Business Partner
    career opportunity must hold a  university degree in human resource
    management or business related field from a recognized institution.
  • Possession of a Master’s degree with a
    bias in human resources
  • Holder of HR professional certification –
    added advantage
  • At least seven years’ experience in
    general HR, four of which must be in HR management in a busy organization.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience of end
    to end – HR functions – recruitment, performance management, employee
    relations, learning and development, compensation and benefits.
  • Significant experience in the
    implementation of a wide range of process improvement activities.
  • Must display superior verbal written and
    presentation skills
  • Ability to build strong working relationships,
    internal and external to the organization.
  • Demonstrated creativity and analytical
    ability
  • Excellent interpersonal skills necessary
    to deal effectively with a diverse group.
