Preparedness and Response.
About Program:
Currently, Oxfam is implementing a humanitarian response to address the
humanitarian needs of South Sudanese refugees hosted in West Nile sub-region.
Oxfam’s areas of intervention include WASH, Emergency Food Security and
Vulnerable Livelihoods (EFSVL), Gender and Protection. Oxfam works with local
partners as a strategy for building humanitarian preparedness and response
capacity within the organisations.
Job Summary: The
Communications Officer will focus on both local and international  audiences and support the delivery of emergency
communications plan. The Communications Officer is a vital member of a diverse
team and his/her key roles shall include producing communications and
fundraising resources, pursuing media opportunities and exposure in the
humanitarian emergency. The incumbent will work with the response managers and
Information, Media, Communications Coordinator in developing and sharing
response situation reports and updates.
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience:
  • The ideal candidate for the Oxfam Communications Officer job placement must hold a Bachelor’s degree in a
    relevant field
  • Previous exposure and experience
    preferably with a non-profit organization
