Job Summary: The Application
Support Supervisor will be responsible for the day- to- day technical support
of the core banking system and other applications ensuring system stability and
enhanced performance, controlled resolution of operational incidents and
problems (deviations from planned or expected core banking operations), the
drawing in of specialized expertise wherever appropriate, and the provision of
advice and information aimed at minimizing the occurrence and impact of service
incidents through process improvement.
Key Duties and
Responsibilities:  
  • The jobholder will manage the applications
    support team and oversee the management and support of the system
    start/end of day processes.
  • Ensure uptime of all applications
    including the core banking applications and provide timely application
    support to users.
  • Perform any other duty that may be
    assigned.
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience: 
  • The ideal candidate for the BRAC
    Application Support Supervisor job opportunity should hold a Degree in
    computer science or related business major in IT, Computer science
  • Possession of ITIL V3 Foundation and
    Oracle (OCA or OCP) is added advantage.
  • A minimum of two to three years’
    experience in ICT Department with at least 2 years experience in a
    Financial Institution.
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Proven ability to handle pressure and work
    stress especially in emergencies
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem solving
    skills.
  • The flexibility to work nights and
    weekends and ability to respond rapidly to alerts as necessary is integral
    to the successful delivery of reliable applications support.
