Job Summary: The Press
Technician will operate the press and auxiliary equipment properly so as to
timely produce a quality product and attain the print order in the most cost
effective way.
Key Duties and
Responsibilities:  
  • Operates
    the reel stands, the printing press and auxiliary equipment
  • Ensures
    good quality materials are used on the press.
  • Prepares
    and submits production reports
  • Conducts
    minor maintenance of equipment
  • Carries
    out press shutdown
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
  • The applicants for the MPL Press
    Technician job placement should hold a Uganda Certificate of Education (O level) or equivalent
  • Certificate
    in printing technology
  • A
    minimum of two years of related working experience, preferably in a
    printing environment of a media house.
  • Very
    strong drive for results
  • Strong
    analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability
    to follow through and close issues
  • Willingness
    to work long hours
  • Good
    planning and organization skills
  • Excellent
    report writing skills
