Job Summary: The Community
Development Facilitator- Butaleja MNCH Project will actively contribute to
achieving WVU’s child wellbeing targets in designated clusters through
planning, monitoring and implementing the MNCH programme in line with
applicable technical approaches and WVU national strategy.

Key Duties and
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities:
Project planning and implementation
- Technical support and training
- Identify local level capacity needs and
support capacity building activities for WVU staff and partners to improve
the quality of Health - Support project implementation of models
through monitoring - Mobilization of and conducting trainings
to build capacities on health models - Provide mentoring and coaching to district
and community health technical personnel to build local capacity for
understanding and connecting with community linkages - Identify technical experts to train
district and community groups
Partnership and networking:
- Identify and build strategic linkages,
relations, collaborations and networks with partners and other
stakeholders in implementation at the District level. - Actively participate and represent WVU in
key donor engagements and technical working forums at district, region and
National level when applicable. - Work closely with District initiatives
through the District Health Office
Research, Documentation and Evidence building:
- Effectively document all information
related to project successes, innovations and promising practices and
disseminate through appropriate mechanisms. - The incumbent will ensure identification
of research areas, conduct research and document learning - Actively participate in project monitoring
processes - Support processes of project assessments
Quality Implementation:
Track and manage budgets allocated for the projects across assigned
Area Programs

Prepare and submit timely, accurate, compliant and quality reports
Participate in Project management meetings and reflection forums
Resource Acquisition:
- Identify and initiate viable funding
proposals for resource acquisition to support health programme
interventions. - Participate in resource mobilization
through concept papers/proposal writing for fund raising and market them
with support offices and other donors.

- The ideal candidate for the World Vision
Community Development Facilitator- Butaleja MNCH Project job opportunity
must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in
Nursing, Public health, Nutrition & Human Medicine - A minimum of three years of hands-on
experience in Public health programming including MNCH with a reputable
organization, two of which must have been involved in program planning,
implementation, monitoring and evaluation. - Motivation and commitment to community
work - Excellent coordination and highly tuned
communication skills - Flexibility, diplomacy and the ability to
work independently and as part of a team - Innovative and creative
- Willing to spend regular periods away from
home while working in the field - Previous experience as a community worker
desirable - Ability to ride a Motor Cycle with a clean
riders permit-class A
