Job Summary: The General
Manager Financial Inclusion will develop, implement, monitor and evaluate the
Financial Inclusion Strategy across the Bank network to support the Bank deepen
and broaden Revenue base through increasing outreach to various clients, in
terms of accessibility to financial services, customer retention and provision
of customer tailored financial solutions
Key Duties and
Responsibilities:  
  • The jobholder will plan, coordinate and
    monitor implementation of the Financial Inclusion strategy.
  • Engage, review and update relevant
    partnerships, MOU/ programs that will improve utilization of appropriate
    banking services and products; including Linkage Banking, Mobile Network Operators
    and Fintechs areas.
  • Oversee the implementation and review of
    Bank initiatives to increase Bank outreach/access.
  • Manage the performance and development of
    staff under the Financial Inclusion Division; empowering them to deliver
    on the Business objectives.
  • Offer timely support in the provision of
    customer tailored solutions and monitoring and supporting the required
    customer satisfaction levels.
  • Support an adequate Risk management and
    Compliance Environment in Financial Inclusion within the Bank, including
    monitoring and ascertaining compliance to regulatory guidelines,
    instituting mitigation measures to restrain / manage Risk and compliance
    to the required Bank standards.
  • Send periodic reporting to various
    stakeholders including Management and Regulators.
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience:
  • The ideal candidate for the Centenary Bank
    General Manager Financial Inclusion job placement should hold a Bachelor’s
    degree in a relevant Business related field
  • Possession of a Master’s degree is an
    added advantage.
  • A minimum of ten years of practical and
    progressive experience in the Financial Services sector, five of which
    should have been at Senior leadership level in a reputable organization.
  • Hands-on experience in managing
    Organizations to deliver Business growth is a key requirement.
  • Broad knowledge in financial inclusion
    channels and an understanding of the target customer groups is essential
  • Stakeholder management skills including
    both internal and external parties for example Management, Regulators, Service
    providers, Funding partners and Customers
  • Advanced people leadership and
    relationship building skills in order to manage FI team but also to
    influence staff, managers and leaders across the whole organization
  • Strong leadership and Management skills with
    proven ability in building, leading and working with teams and
    demonstrated courage and ability to positively challenge the status quo
    where needed
  • Impeccable level of integrity with strong
    communication skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse
    communities
  • Highly Creative and innovative with
    ability to develop customer tailored solutions
  • Experience in managing customer
    expectations and relations at a senior level
  • Financial management and analytical skills
    sufficient to set and monitor budgets, performance and contribute to
    business planning and effective role execution
