register services in Kenya and East Africa. It offers shareholder services,
such as verification of member instructions; maintenance of members’ records
involving changes of addresses and dividend mandates; counter customer queries,
shareholder correspondence, and dealing with general queries and complaints;
verification of share certificates presented by stockbrokers; handling various
issues involving shareholders, including processing of mail; and comprises of
the call center, correspondence center, reference center, broker liaison, and
query resolution.  C&R Group
(C&R) is a company with a 30-year history in share registry with operations
in Kenya and Uganda.
Job Summary: The Accountant
will maintain up-to-date financial records of all types; operational expenses,
salaries, capital expenditures, investments, cash flow.  The incumbent will maintain up-to-date
financial records of all types; operational expenses, salaries, capital
expenditures, investments, cash flow. 
Key Duties and
Responsibilities:  
  • Prepare, examine, and analyse accounting
    records, financial statements, and other financial reports to assess
    accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural
    standards.
  • Compute taxes owed and prepare tax
    returns, ensuring compliance with payment, reporting and other tax
    requirements.
  • Keenly analyse business operations,
    trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations, to
    projects future revenues and expenses or to provide advice.
  • Report to the Group CFO and the Country
    manager, the regarding the finances of the company. 
  • Develop, maintain, and analyze budgets,
    preparing periodic reports that compare budgeted costs to actual costs.
    Develop, implement, modify, and document record keeping and accounting
    systems, making use of current computer technology in consultation with
    the Group CFO.
  • Survey operations to ascertain accounting
    needs and to recommend, develop, and maintain solutions to business and
    financial problems.
  • Guide 
    management about issues such as resource utilization, tax
    strategies, and assumptions underlying budget forecasts.
  • Manage company’s; debtors and creditors
    and reporting to the country manager (or person in such acting capacity)
    and the Group CFO. Appraise, evaluate, and inventory assets and equipment,
    recording information such as the asset’s description, value, and
    location. Interact with internal and external auditors in completing
    audits.
  • Maintain an elaborate filling system for
    accounting documents: Bank statements, Petty cash vouchers, LPO, invoices,
    Delivery notes, credit notes and all other accounting documents Other
    duties as assigned

Qualifications, Skills and
Experience: 
  • The ideal candidate should hold a B.Com,
    or BBA (Accounting & Finance); and ACCA, CPA level two as an added
    advantage;
  • A minimum of two years of related working
    experience
  • Familiarity with electronic accounting
    software/ systems/databases;
